Where would be the best place to put?

· Is the enlosure going to be an indoor or outdoor
Ø Indoor enclosure require air flow / full lighting and frequent cleaning
Ø Out door enclosures protection from the elemtents/ adequate drainage
·         find a location in your back yard that is quiet, low-traffic environment is best and least stressful.

Things top think about when building a cage?

  • flying space
  • dimenment
  • 3-4 square feet of floor space is repuried per finches or canary
  • vertcal bars
  • ventilion
  • fitting out a cage or aviary
  • heating
  • Be very careful to use only safe, nontoxic building materials.

Home Built Breeding Cage

1"x12"  boards for framing and floors. It had wiring stapled to the sides, pretty basic. 
Just make sure the holes in the wiring are small so that your canary birds can't get their heads through.

1/4" x 1/2" square holes.
Eventually, you may like to build a bigger cages built a larger flight cage that was 4 feet wide, 8 feet long, and 6 feet high.
this will do about 5 breeding pairs
